The Substation Masterclass is an 8-week, live online training program on maintaining a reliable and compliant power distribution system. It can be purchased as an entire series (all eight sessions for $599) or a la carte (individual sessions for $99/each).
The masterclass is designed as a collection of critical topics and fundamentals for those responsible for maintaining electric power distribution systems. Over the course’s duration, you will gain all the knowledge necessary to structure your power system maintenance program properly and ensure that it is effective, reliable, and compliant. Each weekly topic will be provided as live online training on our learning management system, led by various industry experts. After each weekly course topic, the recorded session will be available for up to one calendar year.
Included Courses
Shane Ritter of Tetra Tech will be walking us through the components of a one line, what is required by the contractor and you to achieve one, and how are you required to manage it on a day-to-day basis. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for system maintenance with the necessary knowledge to properly maintain the program.
Jeff Hubert will walk through how the Arc Flash Study provides a detailed overview of your power system which will allow safe grounding for work and safe access to energized equipment in a safe method, by understanding the potential risk. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for code compliance the necessary knowledge to run a reliable power system maintenance program.
Aris Pena of PowerPro 360 is going to present the key areas of control in maximizing the life of the transformer. Key topics such as construction, moisture, heat, testing and maintenance will be included. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for transformer maintenance, purchase and management the necessary knowledge to run a reliable transformer maintenance program.
Denise Green will be providing an overview of the various types and components of switchgear, key factors and consideration in testing and maintenance, and suggestions on what should be included in your maintenance program. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for transformer maintenance, purchase and management the necessary knowledge to run a reliable transformer maintenance program.
Allan Rienstra will take you through how this test works, and how you can use it to maintain a reliable power distribution program. This is the earliest method to detect and correct a problem. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for system maintenance with the necessary knowledge utilize ultrasound testing to properly maintain the program.
Ahmed Moussa will walk you through substation style, design, key equipment and required maintenance to properly manage your various substations. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for system maintenance with the necessary knowledge to properly maintain the program.
Nathan Maggelet will walk us through the key changes including operational structure, key reporting and tracking requirements, the responsibilities in prioritizing maintenance and managing a rather mature program. This course is designed to equip the person with responsibility for compliant management of a power system with the necessary knowledge to run solid program.
In this session, Ben Lanz will present the critical components of managing a cable distribution system, including cable types, common problems, and testing and maintaining your cables. This course is designed to equip the person responsible for cable purchase and management with the necessary knowledge to run a reliable cable maintenance program.
